How to measure the density of an object

Step 1: pour 50cm3 of water in to a beaker.
Step 2: tie a string to the object and slowly suspend it into the beaker.
Step 3: Record the new water level.
Step 4: Measure the mass of the beaker of water with the object in it.
Step 5: Remove the object.
Step 6: Measure the mass of the beaker of water
Step 7: Subtract the volume of water in the beaker from the volume of water in the beaker with the object.
Step 8: Subtract the mass of the beaker with water from the mass of the beaker of water with the object.
Step 9: Divide the results for step 7 and step 8.( Results for step 7/ Results for step 8 )
